The MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CRM) offers an integrated and structured postgraduate PhD training programme to provide high-level training in theoretical and practical aspects of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. This year CRM will host 18 new studentships. The newly recruited students started their programme with a two day induction training on Thursday 17th September. Prof Lesley Forrester, Postgraduate Director at CRM added: This year’s round of studentships has been funded through a wide variety of collaborations and funding streams. Without the support of our partners we would not be able to provide these training opportunities. Partners include the Medical Research Council (direct funding as well as the OPTIMA program), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (EASTBIO program), the University of Edinburgh, the Wellcome Trust (direct funding as well as the ECAT program), the charities One More Hill and Cancer Research UK, and the Mexican Government (CONACYT program).
